Diploma Subjects

1. Purification and Prayer

Study the rulings of ablution and prayer in a structured and analytical way. Each issue is presented with its Qur’anic and Hadith evidences, juristic logic, and scholarly contentions. This approach allows students to grasp not only the obligations but also the reasoning and wisdom behind them.

2. Belief and the Six Pillars of Faith

Explore the Islamic creed in depth: God, Angels, Revelation, Messengers, the Afterlife, and Divine Decree. The course highlights classical explanations while also addressing modern misconceptions and challenges to faith.

3. Hadith Studies

An applied introduction to Hadith. Students will examine the origins and transmission of Hadith, the development of the canonical works, and the science of text and chain analysis. Misconceptions and criticisms are tackled, with practical emphasis on how Hadith informs law, belief, and practice.

4. Qur’an Studies

Investigate the history of revelation and the development of tafsir. Understand the structure of the Qur’an, methods of interpretation, and how scholars addressed apparent contradictions. Misconceptions about the Qur’an are examined in light of both classical responses and modern debates.

5. Prophetic Biography (Sīrah)

A chronological study of the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, focusing on both the Makkan and Madinan periods. Key themes include the struggles of the early community, the establishment of the Muslim state, and the major battles that defined the Prophetic mission.

6. The Development of Islamic Law

Trace the emergence of Islamic law from the earliest period to the formation of the schools of thought. Learn how differences arose, how scholars navigated them, and how legal reasoning is applied through case studies.
