1. Deep Self-Reflection & Spiritual Awareness

Reassess Your Relationship with Allah. The series will challenge you to question your reliance on the dunya, false attachments, and anxieties about the future. It will help answer questions like “Why do I worry so much about things beyond my control?” and “What does true contentment look like?”. Through it, you’ll gain clarity on spiritual struggles, learning how to detach from worldly distractions and return to true reliance (tawakkul) on Allah.

2. Balancing Effort & Divine Trust

A central theme in the Hikam is understanding effort (kasb) versus divine will (qadr). This series will help you navigate stress, career worries, relationships, and life’s uncertainties, learning how to work diligently without being consumed by anxiety over results.

3. Purification of the Heart

Detach from the Ego, Attach to Allah. Much of our inner turmoil comes from pride, self-reliance, and attachment to praise or blame. The Hikam teaches us how to purify the heart (tazkiyah), detach from the ego (nafs), and embrace sincerity (ikhlas) in worship and daily life. We will explore questions like “Why do I care so much about others’ opinions?” and “How do I remove arrogance and self-doubt?” – and hopefully try and a move to a place of contentment and improved self-esteem.

4. Practical Spirituality for Modern Life

This series isn’t just theoretical—it’s a practical guide to navigating modern life with an Islamic spiritual framework. You’ll learn how to cultivate contentment (rida), gratitude (shukr), and presence (hudoor) in a world filled with distractions and anxiety. We will address questions like: “How do I stay spiritually grounded in a fast-paced world?” and “How do I turn everyday challenges into opportunities for spiritual growth?”. Students will be challenged to put into practice everything that they learn and commit to self improvement – one moment at a time!
